Become a Travel Different for Future changemaker

JANUN Hannover e.V., Hostelling International Slovenia, Movijovem and REAJ are inviting you to join the international educational programme Travel Different for Future, which connects young people from Slovenia, Germany, Portugal and Spain through learning, creativity and action for sustainable travel.

Join us if you:

  • are between 18 and 28 years old,
  • like to travel,
  • care about environmental protection and social justice,
  • are interested in sustainable lifestyles,
  • like to run workshops with young people or would like to try it out,
  • would be interested in becoming a writer for our TDFF Blog.

Is this you? Then it’s worth reading on

Educational experts and volunteers are working together to create and deliver interactive educational workshops on sustainable travel and lifestyle. As a volunteer, you will not only help facilitate these workshops in schools and youth organisations but also take part in developing new ideas for sustainability education and youth engagement.

Volunteers are also actively involved in promoting the values of the Travel Different for Future programme through the Climate-Friendly School Trips Campaign, contributions to the TDFF Blog and communication on social media. By sharing inspiring content, stories and messages online, volunteers help spread awareness and encourage others to join the movement for responsible and meaningful travel.

By joining our team, you will become part of an international community that connects learning, creativity and action for a more sustainable future.

What you get out of your participation in the programme

  • Methodological competence in non-formal and sustainable development education.
  • Experience in working with young people.
  • Being part of an international team and meeting interesting people, for example during our yearly eight-day international seminars.
  • The opportunity to learn how to organise and work in teams at international seminars.
  • A certificate documenting what you have done and what you have learned throughout the programme.
  • The opportunity to participate in other educational projects.
  • The possibility to develop your own ideas for projects in a team with people you will meet through this programme.
  • The possibility to improve your English.
  • The opportunity to join an international programme that is helping change the world into a better place.
  • Becoming a promoter for a different way of travelling.

What we expect from you

As a volunteer, we expect you to actively participate in our 60-minute international online meetings, which take place once a month, and to facilitate 90-minute workshops — either on your own or together with another volunteer, for example in your own city.

Are you interested?

If you want to join us, we invite you to apply now via the online form. We will inform you within a week whether we will invite you to an online meeting with the responsible person to get to know each other.
